HEAT APPLICATION
Hot Water Method
1. Boil approximately 4-5 litres of water.
2. Remove water from the stove.
3. Fully immerse the pack in water for approx. 10 mins.
4. Carefully remove the pack from water and wrap in a towel before use.
Microwave Method
BE VERY CAREFUL, IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THE MICROWAVE METHOD. NEVER LEAVE IN THE MICROWAVE UNATTENDED
You need to find out the correct heating time because microwaves vary in power.
The size of the Hot/Cold pack also matters in determining the time required.
You need to be watching while the microwave heats up the pack.
If the pack starts bulging, stop the microwave immediately.
1. Flatten the pack to ensure even distribution of the gel before you begin (Do not keep the pack folded in the microwave and ensure that the pack rotates freely without touching the walls inside the microwave).
2. Try heating the pack 40/60 seconds (depends on the size of the pack) and wait a minute to test the heat of the pack. Do not lift with bare hands.
3. Try heating in increments of 10/20 seconds. You should be able to arrive at the approximate time required to heat the pack with your microwave.
4. Once you have got the pack heated to a comfortable level, wrap it in a towel before use.
5. Once you have arrived at the time required to heat the pack, record the time for future use.
BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THE MICROWAVE METHOD. NEVER LEAVE IN THE MICROWAVE UNATTENDED. AS MICROWAVES VARY IN POWER, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE TIME TAKEN BY YOUR MICROWAVE TO HEAT THE PACK TO THE REQUIRED LEVEL. IF THE PACK STARTS BULGING, STOP THE MICROWAVE IMMEDIATELY AND WAIT FOR THE PACK TO COOL.
